THE LAST SUGA - RUNNING WITH MY SOUL

SURABAYA – Dalam situasi sekarang ini, merilis sebuah album untuk para musisi cukup terbilang sulit. Pandemi membuat semua musisi putar otak untuk tetap berkarya, mulai dari merekam karya dirumah sampai ajang live streaming di semua platform sosial media, semua dilakukan demi tetap berkarya. Dipenghujung tahun yang berat ini, pandemi bukan menjadi penghalang untuk The Last Suga, band Soul-Funk asal Surabaya yang diinisasi oleh Whawha, Pras, Elbaz dan Deni akan merilis debut albumnya dibawah label Smartest Bomb Records bertajuk “Running With My Soul” pada, Jumat 30 Oktober 2020.
Running With My Soul merangkum cerita tentang perjalanan The Last Suga, mulai dari harapan dan mimpi, cinta dan kesenangan. Album ini berisi sepuluh lagu diantaranya Don’t Stop The Music, I Got you, You’ve Got To Love Me, Hey Cantik, Memori, One More time, You and I, Running With My Soul, Hitam Putih dan Fanatic.
Album ini digarap oleh Whawha pada Vokal & Gitar, Pras pada Drum, Elbaz pada Vokal & Kibor, Deni Brutus pada Gitar Bass, dibantu juga dengan kawan-kawan musisi lain, pada Trumpet diisi oleh Choirul Umam, pada Trombone diisi oleh Iqbal Msm, melodi Trombone pada lagu “I got you” diisi oleh Memet Menthol, vokal tamu pada lagu “you and I” dinyanyikan oleh Maria Angela Dani, Perkusi diisi oleh Abed Nego. Album ini direkam dan dimixing di Aley Studio Surabaya. Tata suara mastering pada album ini digarap oleh Prasimansyah. Sampul album dan tata letak pada desain cover dikerja- kan oleh Agung innocenti, foto band pada cover oleh Dani Wijanarko.
Album Running With My Soul ditulis dan dikemas dengan pengaruh unsur Soul-Funk yang kental dari era James Brown, Ray Charles sampai Stone Foundation. Mulai tanggal 30 oktober 2020 Album ini bisa dipesan di Smartest Bomb Records dan beberapa toko musik lokal. Setelah itu, akan dirilis secara berurutan digerai musik digital dan produk-produk kreatif lainnya yaitu video lirik dan video musik.
The Last Suga dengan Running With My Soul-nya, berharap bisa menghibur dan membawa lagu-la- gunya menjadi bagian dari perjalanan hidup para pendengar The Last Suga. Dengan getaran soul-funk asal surabaya, siapkan jiwa dan raga siap bergoyang dilantai dansa.
